With the enactment of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) comes a higher focus on preventing contamination rather than responding to it. In turn, all levels of the food industry supply chain will be impacted by the new standards and regulations. This will include facilities that manufacture, process, pack, or hold foods’ packaging. These will ultimately be part of the three main sections of the FSMA.
