Grapes and other Produce
RPS protects grapes, pineapples, blueberries, melons, yams and ANY other produce that the USDA requires fumigation upon import.
Temperature control is what it is all about when it comes to preserving the quality and value of fruit from harvest to market.
RPS / Royal Fumigation has developed a comprehensive and innovative approach to controlling temperature.
We start with a pre-fumigation process that begins onboard ship and extends through the unloading of the cargo and its fumigation, helping keep strict control of the temperature of the warehouse and the fumigant.
For post-fumigation, our goal is to re-establish the cold chain as quickly and effectively as possible and prevent condensation that may cause spotting—all to preserve the fruit’s quality and value.
RPS provides first-rate quarantine fumigation services at a variety of ports and other facilities along the U.S. East Coast. We have developed exemplary technological breakthroughs relating to processes and equipment that help maintain the quality and value of commodities safely and efficiently.
The following are included in our broad range of quarantine fumigation services:
• Containerized and break bulk products such as logs, wood chips, peanuts, tobacco, fruit, cotton,
and DDGS (Distilled Dried Grains)
• Super sacks of seed and rice
• Wood packing material (ISPM 15)
• A variety of import/export products USAID cargo
RPS also power-washes containers and provides soil treatment to meet quarantine requirements.
